" I was hungry and you formed a committee to investigate my hunger. I was homeless and you filed a report on my plight. I was sick and you held a seminar on the situation of the underprivileged. You investigated all aspects of my plight and yet I am still hungry, homeless and sick." (Author unknown) Awake-02-22-03
Our MissionWe strive to eliminate the number of homeless that is now running rampant in each State and community in the United States. At last count there are over 8,300 homeless in the city of Seattle alone not including those in other communities around the State. We must provide the aide that our neighbors need for their housing, food and other basic necessities of life, not just to the homeless but to the disabled the seniors and the very poor. It is our responsibility . Remember it only takes one devastating occurrence in your life, be it an illness or loss of job to put you in the same position as your neighbor. Can you rely on them to come to your aide? We hope that they can rely on you. They need your help every day not just on the feel good holidays. Provide a community that produces pride in the family and independence to the individual.
